Yes he should and I should've known better because he had to ask me how to get to the batteries and then wouldn't work on it in the same room where I could watch. He took it outside where it was around 95 that day and I told him to work inside where it was cool but he insisted. I don't know if the chair will work but it was put out with a big glass of water so probably not. Are the batteries okay? I would call the dealer that sent the tech out and demand new batteries. If he had to do this while you couldn't see, he obviously had no idea what he was doing or repairing them. If the batteries are the same ones, I'd be afraid to sit in the chair, especially alone.
