I have the same problem. I tie my legs to the legrest above my knee with
ace bandage. This keeps them from moving under the hand control. I
sometimes strap my feet as well and I always were a snug chest strap.
Falling sideways while navigating a turn is most unpleasant.

Every once in a while my whole body stiffens up and my legs jam up under
the
hand controls thus disabling gas operations but I can still brake.
Sometimes my legs start jumping and once jumped onto the gas peddle. I
backed up
quickly ( I'm not locked in ) - and got my foot under the peddle. Gets
pretty
exciting sometimes.

I FINALLY GOT MY VAN BACK LAST FRIDAY. THEY LEFT THE GAS SETTING PAST

BUT HOPEFULLY I'M DONE WITH IDS - INDEPENDENT DRIVING SYSTEMS.
IT IS WONDERFUL TO HAVE THIS INDEPENDENCE BACK. ONLY THING IS AFTER
DRIVING
20 MINUTES ON THE INTERSTATE MY MUSCLES SAY NO WHEN I MAKE MY 1ST TURN.
SPASM
CITY. I THINK IT'S FROM BEING PRETTY MUCH IN ONE POSITION THEN TRYING TO
MOVE SUDDENLY. ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCE THIS? I'M FINE JUST GOING INTO TOWN
A FEW
MILES.
