I think I've said it before, but when the media ceased looking at me as an interesting person to interview for their newspapers and started taking me seriously, it was all I can ask for. At the time I was on the Board of Directors for a major homeowners association here in the Tampa area. It was great to have people view me as an equal to everyone else and not as some anomaly.
