In all honesty, never heard of him. Obviously, theres volumes of things I don't hear about. I do hear stories now and then of people who have remarkable and sudden unexplained healings from SCI's. I have never met them or shaken the hand of one. I do know that immediately after a traumatic injury like what happenned to Everett, doctors and staff will try to be as possitive as they can. These are golden hours and anything can happen including a few treatments that are witheld from us because they haven't been FDA approved. Evel Kneval supposedly broke his back in four places and his neck twice. Its hard to explain why he is walking but its hard to explain why hes alive at all. I want to think and believe that a cure or treatment isn't far off, but then reality sets in and all I can do is hope and pray that his injury isn't as severe as mine was. I also know that what happens is not a curse or a blessing from God.

One day he had a sharp pain in his back and within 30 days he was up and walking. 60 days later, he was released by all of his doctors as he showed no signs of the effects of an SCI. That was 3 years ago and since then he has gone on to Law School and he started a Foundation to provide monies to those injuried without funding. He is truly a SCI poster kid from the Boston Chapter of the Natl SCI Association. W In a message dated 9/12/2007 3:47:45 P.M. I think he may be a highly mobile 'super quad' some day and this is based only on the fact that he is already moving his arms and legs. I don't expect he will ever walk normally, and returning to football is something I wouldn't wish on anyone.
