It's slick, my aid was always slipping it so we put down a non slip rubber
pad like in any shower for safety.
Those fiberglass units they sell at your home depot are very expensive
because they're considered handicapped and bring a bigger price for that reason
even though there's less to them than a regulat fiberglass shower unit.
I also have stained concrete in my bathroom so clean ups are very easy and
it's cheaper than tile.

I put a roll in shower in a couple years ago and it's much cheaper or it
was for me to put in a marble shower instead of a fiberglass unit.
It ran about $1800 for a 6'x4' marble shower plus they made an angled or
sloped edge for me to get over the lip.

The only problem is me and my electric chair together weigh over 400
lbs. I have mirrors in my corner shower so I can wheel in at an angle and fix
my hair and I turn sideways to put on my make-up - I don't think fiberglass or
pre-fab could hold the weight without it eventually cracking. i'd like to pour
concrete and have my entire bathroom concrete

Hey,
When I was trying to get my roll-in done I discovered a few things.
Home Depot and Lowes have catalogs with various types of pre-made i believe
fiberless roll in showers that can be ordered through them.
My x gf had one put one in and it was pretty easy to install. All you
do is build a stud(2x4) frame the size of the insert and slide the insert in.
One prob was there was still a small lip to get over to get in
shower. This could be solved by dropping the floor height where the insert is
to be installed by 3/4 inch then it would be an even entrance pretty much. Just
make sure you get a big enough shower.
