Paul, you must get pressure off those wounds. I understand how bad leg spasms are. All that comes to mind is wrapping blankets around them and taping them at the knees and ankles. I know it is warm, but I would try anything. Damn sores always seem to ruin our lives. Don't let them obsess you. If they haven't debreided yet you still can't be sure what your dealing with. Hopefully it is something that heals nicely. I had one on my calf muscle that was fom a desk that I didn't fit under well. Once it was cleaned up it healed very quickly. It did cause spasms. I was getting called Dr.Strangelove. Now I have a chair that reclines, tilts and has leg and foot protection.
Merry Christmas to those that enjoy it, and may the rest of you find peace and happiness, john ----- Original Message ---- From: Paul Jacobson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: William Willis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; [email protected] Sent: Sunday, December 23, 2007 4:59:13 PM Subject: [QUAD-L] 2 STAGE 3 SORES .hmmessage P { PADDING-RIGHT:0px;PADDING-LEFT:0px;PADDING-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN:0px;PADDING-TOP:0px;} BODY.hmmessage { FONT-SIZE:10pt;FONT-FAMILY:Tahoma;} Hi, I'm an otherwise healthy c5/6 complete 43 year old male, 4 years since injury. I have a stage 3 sore on the outer side of either lower calf. I'm seeing a wound care specialist once a week and am using compression wraps to reduce the swelling..... its working. I also just started Celleration (3x/wk) to help debried and promote healthy skin growth. The problem is at night. I have spasms that prevent my legs from staying upright..... even with the blue boots. The consequences is that there is direct pressure on the wounds while I sleep. It's a bummer. Any help and/or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Paul ____________________________________________________________________________________ Looking for last minute shopping deals?
