Hi Paul,

I am so sorry to hear of your sores. I had one that ruined me for years and
had several surgeries on it before I finally went to Hopkins and the problem
was an infection in the bone that wasn't showing up on the scan. They ended up
removing a piece of the bone and finally it healed. Then I got another one
after being laid up in the bed after having back surgery where they put in rods
and screws. I couldn't lay on one side because of where the flap was healing
so I know how you must feel.

Is it possible to lay on your side or another position. I always sleep on my
side. If I lay on my back, my catheter doesn't drain right and then I end up
soaked.

Good luck with your sore and I hope you recover from it soon.

Stacy

Subject: [QUAD-L] 2 STAGE 3 SORES

Hi, I'm an otherwise healthy c5/6 complete 43 year old male, 4 years since
injury.
I have a stage 3 sore on the outer side of either lower calf. I'm seeing a
wound care
specialist once a week and am using compression wraps to reduce the
swelling.....
its working. I also just started Celleration (3x/wk) to help debried and
promote healthy
skin growth.

The problem is at night. I have spasms that prevent my legs from staying
upright.....
even with the blue boots. The consequences is that there is direct pressure on
the
wounds while I sleep.

It's a bummer. Any help and/or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
Paul
