I find that my pain increases with barometric fluctuations. i have also discovered that I have more anxiety when my bowels aren't emptying well. This also increases the pain level. Constipation hurts. The pain creates anxiety and runs my blood pressure up. It is a nasty downward spiral. Sort of like a toilet flushing and,, you know what that makes me. I do best when I eat plenty of green leafy stuff but it can get gassy. Mirilax has really helped me in the past few years. No cramps, no gas, no anxiety. Hemorrhoids do better. Intestinal bleeding stops. Most of us do suffer from intestinal inflamation several times a year according to a doctor that had a long black tube stuck inside me with a camera. (HE SAID HE WAS A DOCTOR) The spine curving is not helping my bowels move. My commode chair is comfortable but it can't make up for that. Im still waiting for a custom fitted back for my wheelchair. (are they just BS'ing me about that?) Do any of you have a custom fitted back to adjust for a twisted spine?
If you are awake all night in too much pain to sleep, you have my deepest sympathy. The best solution to pain is sleep. It feels like I'm shuffeling poisons some nights. Alchohol for morphine, for codeine, for valium, for pot, for C-span. Again spiraling downward!
