The point of my post was that topic was becoming mundane to use your words. I
totally agree that there are many more things to discuss aside from paralysis,
but sometimes topics get beat to death. After days and so many posts saying
the same things, sometimes it turns into an arguement and some hateful things
are said. I understand there is a delte key, however I don't always check my
email every day. When I get busy, it can be almost a week or more and I don't
have the time or patience at that point to go through all of the emails so I
delete all of them at once only to find I missed an important post after the
fact. Then if I want to know what it said, I have to go to the archives.

My whole point is that we are here to support eachother, not beat eachother
down. It's like people seem to think those who yell the loudest is right
sometimes. How about we express ourselves and response to what someone else
said is fine (to me), but I get frustrated to see the same thing said over and
over again and like I said before, hurtful things can be said. Again, we are
here to support eachother.

I don't expect everyone to reply to my posts, but it gets aggrivating to see
posts like that get so much more attn than real life issues that we have to
deal with. People should have kind words to offer even if they can't help over
hurtful words about topics like the one about the poor woman who passed away.

Sorry for my rambling, but my opinion stands about how I feel about the list.
Someone told me that he has seen many leave over chat like that and I know of
at least one myself that contributed quite a lot to the list sometime ago.

Cant we all just get along?
Stacy

I hope you continue to find answers here. Unfortunately there are going to be
those threads which we don't like, but as someone said before, there is always
the delete key.
Just because you don't get a number of responses to your queries, doesn't mean
it was a read by a multitude of people who really didn't feel the ability to
respond effectively to your question. I read every answer or suggestion and it
helped me out.
About three or four years ago I made a similar plea and someone, it may have
even been Tim (stuntman) who responded that we think about things other than a
quadriplegia all the time. Why not comment about them on this site? The
person felt it was mundane to consistently do nothing but talk about
quadriplegia and frankly I have to agree.
That is not to say that I don't agree with what you wrote. We should be more
consumed with those who won't come out and help those of us in need.
I hope this made some sort of sense. If not I apologize.

I also went to that list because I had ADEM (Acute Disseminated
Encephalomyelitis)which is similiar to TM. It affects the myelin sheath as
well. I too thought that The TM list would help me but find more help here.
There are some paralyzed on that list, but mostly people dealing different
types of problems because they can walk. I know it's hard for them but my
issues are more related to paralysis.

Stacy,

I totally agree with you. There are more pressing issues that this website
could address that would be a great help to those of us who need it. I went
into the Transverse Myelitis website, but found that the quad website is where
I can get the most information for my needs. When I come to this site I expect
to find posts that would address my questions as a quad, instead of a bunch of
conversation about something that is of no use to any of us.

I am not saying that there should never be comments on current events or news
articles, but I would think that our comments would be something beneficial for
those of us who look toward this site for, what may be, the only help we can
find. Sometimes we get on a subject and just comment on it until the comments
are repetitions and of no use to anyone.

Please, I beg of you, be mindful of us who really need help dealing with being
a quadriplegic and answers to our issues at hand. Thanks in advance
