company being bought out by a candy co?
Its old history, lol. Another conversion company in the southwest, started
doing conversions and marketing them to the returning Vets from Vietnam thru
their PVA magazine. I don't remember the name of the company, but I remember
the problems. Dead batteries after the minivans sat for only two days. The on
board option security system drew too much amperage off the single battery...
and drained the battery. And there were other problems too. So many problems
that The Attorney General in New Mexico issued an order condeming the company.
They lost their funding source and resorted to selling themselves to a
neighboring company that made candy and sweets. They lasted, maybe another
year and ceased to do conversions. Keep in mind, this was in the mid to late
90s.
Best Wishes
