Shelley,
I started having strange symptoms, spotting, much less quantity , crying
during menopause, but not until 45 and I was injured at 20. I also had
strange
sweating, just sweating on one side profusely, it was really horrible. The
rehab doctor prescribed Estroven, which is over-the-counter and propoxyphene
(I will have to look up the milligrams on the bottle) for sweating. The
propoxyphene does help was sweating and it is often used for spinal cord
injuries,
my rehab doctor said. When I was in my 30s when my periods were extremely
long and I had to have two DNC's to stop this as medication did not work. I
also did not have a period of time after my injury, but I can't remember
exactly
how long. You seem kind of young to start menopause but you can have
pre-menopause I was told by a gynecologist. I remember that Craig being told
that
the sweating can also be a sign to get checked for syringmyelia. I was at
Craig Hospital and 88 and tested for several years after that in Kansas City.
I
was tested at least four or five times and finally a neurologist decided
that it was scar tissue, I was relieved.

Ladies,
I am new at this, it has only been 1 yr. 8 mo. since my accident. And I
can't seem to get a straight answer to my question.

I am 40 and right after my accident my period stopped for a couple of
months. Then I would have it 2 or 3 days then go 2 weeks then get it again. I
just
never know when it is going to come.

My question is this: I am experiencing sweating on the right side of my
head. Especially above my ear to my neck. The sweat just runs down my face.

My scalp has been soaked most of the day. Also my right cheek is flushed.

It comes and goes, right now I am in the drying out stage. Going to bed
shortly and always wake up sweated (only on the one side) sometime during the
night..

I have adjusted with my disability and have been at peace with it. My life
has changed in so many ways, More for the good than the bad.

My point is:I have not been depressed but lately my moods have been wacky
and I cry over stuff that I normally would not.

If you have any advice I would love to hear from you.

Thanks Ladies!
Shelly
