I don't think we are giving medical advice as much as we are giving people
questions they might want to ask their doctors.

In almost every e-mail I've read, the writer or replier, mention going to
the doctor. It's the patients responsibility to be prepared.

Plus, it really helps to get opinions, even if he writer doesn't know the
medical history. Many of doctors we see do not know a lot about quads and
bring in questions is go.

And sometimes we might have symptoms that we never had before and can't find
the problem. Someone here might have had the same symptoms. It may not be
the same thing, but at least it gives a good place to start looking. Of
course if there is anything wrong, you should always go see a real doctor.

It really amazes me at the number of people who write to this list asking
for medical advice or if they should go to the doctor to get something
checked out. As helpful as everyone on this list tries to be, I don't think
anyone here can offer real medical advice to someone without knowing their
medical history or the severity of the medical issue in question
