After watching a special on some of the adverse reactions on NBC news, I am now a little too frightened to try this. My father had cataract surgery about five years ago and had severe problems with night blindness and dry eye syndrome following the surgery. He still has difficulties.
I already have difficulties dealing with my dry eyes, I can't imagine if they did worse as a result. My vision and my hearing are one of the few things I still have going for me. I don't know what I'd do if I lost my vision, except for run into walls. There have been a few times when my eyes are burning so bad that they're watering and I cannot look where I am going. I have tried to get into my office so I can put a little pressure on my eyes with the mouth end of my mouth stick. I stopped about every foot and tried to look through my eyes and I still ended up bumping into damn near everything.
