Make sure that your VR counselor is aware of your surgery in writing if you can. Keep them current with telephone calls and document them in YOUR paperwork. Dates and Times. I'm having surgery Tues. so I am going to talk with the doctor more in detail about it while I am in the hospital. He is really encouraging me to get back to school so I am sure he will provide whatever is neccessary for DORS. I will also talk with the plastic surgeon about the pressure sore problems I had in previous years. He is the one who found the infection in the bone and removed it so it finally healed. Thank God for Hopkins and Doctors that care.
