so sorry about the broken leg. do take care. take john's advice about the low 
air loss mattress unless you already have one...

This is why I had full foot plates on my chair. They will put a foam and velcro 
splint on your leg. It will heal very slowly. You have to try to stay immobile. 
If you screw it up too bad they can only amputate it. You will need a low air 
loss mattress because you can't be moving around much. Now is your chance to 
get one without having a sore first. A broken leg is not a better way to get 
one.

Well, I broke my leg again.  While driving my chair my toe caught the wall.  I 
kept driving forward while my leg stayed against the wall and kept turning 
until ‘snap’.  This time it broke in two places on my left leg below my knee.  
I had some AD, but it wasn’t that bad.
Anyway, Monday or Tuesday I’ll be seeing an orthopedic doc to go over my 
treatment options, etc.  Have any of you guys broke your tibia before?  If so, 
what worked or didn’t work for you?
