TRUE- LORI, I THINK MANY OF THESE TREATMENTS MAY BE LIKE THE PLACIBO-EFFECT..GIVING HOPE AND BY BELIEVING, CAN INCREASE OUR BODY'S IMMUNE SYSTEM. I HAVE TRIED DMANNOSE AND IT WILL WORK BUT ONLY ON E-COLLI TYPE BLADDER INFECTIONS, WOMEN GET THAT TYPE MORE THAN MEN. I HAVE TRIED COLLOIDAL SILVER FOR PERIODS OF TIME ON AT LEAST 3 OCCASSIONS BUT NOT SURE IF IT HELPED MUCH----THOUGH IT TAKES A HUGE AMOUNT TO TURN A PERSON BLUE, PROBABLY AT LEAST 10 TIMES THE DOSSAGE OVER TIME. I DO TAKE CRANBERRY AND VITAMIN C A LOT.........I THINK MOST QUADS DO. LOL . ONE OF THE CURES I HAVE NEVER TRIED IS, ( UTI CLEAR ) SOME THINK IT WORKS BUT WHO KNOWS------I DO KNOW SOME QUADS ARE WAY MORE PRONE TO UTI'S THAN OTHERS---MY DOC SAID THAT BODY CHEMESTRY AND GENETICS ALL PLAY A PART AS WELL AS THINGS LIKE DIABETES---- I HAVE DIABETES, THAT I DEVELOPED AFTER MY INJURY, THUS CAUSING ME MORE INFECTION UTI RISK. To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [email protected] Date: Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 8:28 PM Yes, pretty much the same thing as I was talking about. If not the same thing. One just has to keep in mind that someone is selling this product for a profit and to be aware of its side effects. It is a holistic alternative. Which is true with anything. Just do a google search on "colloidal silver side effects" and be careful. Despite "the blue man" supposedly being a fraud by taking too much of it -- the skin can still/will have a blue tinge to it if taken or overly taken. Try it at your own risk! Some people are on this "silver oxide" kick and actually my husband recently tried it on his wound but it did not help. I'm not knocking it -- I am only saying to be very cautious. This has been discussed here before. It is normally used as a topical preventative antibiotic (for pressure sores, wounds, etc.) but it will actually checking your skin blue if it is ingested and dangerous if ingested. IF that is what this guy is talking about or ingesting. "Turning blue" is a classic symptom of "silver oxide" and a dangerous one for ingestion of it. Why didn't you ask him ('some guy') the name of the pill he took when you had the opportunity? Please be careful! He said it was working great, but turned his urine blue. I don't think it was a true antibiotic and may be "Over the Counter" But, now I can't recall the name of it. Anyone know about this and try it? Thanks Greg -- Lori C4/5 complete quad, 27 years post Tucson, AZ Tis the season to save your money!
