The hand cycle I know of is powered entirely by you. My injury is C5
leaving no triceps, hand nor wrist movement. When I began this exercise I
could hardly move the wheel at zero resistance. I now crank that wheel for
ten minutes with little to no resistance applied. The aerobic activity gets
me to actually breath hard as working-out in the old days. This increase in
circulation feels fabulous which nothing feels better. You bet that at
night my arms hurt but that soon forgotten I go back for more.

OK

I'm confused. Are these hand cycles we're talking about motorized and your
hands or placed on them (or strapped on them) for exercise, or do your own
muscles do the work? I have absolutely no voluntary movement forward or back
or up or down in my arms. I can raise my shoulders and that is absolutely
all.

As I said before, my neck is very strong. I can do a tilt back, drop my head
backwards and lift it up-move side to side-up to 25 times before it gets
tired. It took me a very long time to work up to that, but for all the
suspended sling movement that I do, it is controlled completely by my
shoulders, no triceps at all and very little bicep.

I go to physical therapy twice a week where there are professional hand
cycles. They also gave a cheepo to me for use t home. These are hard to
work with by only sitting on a table top. You just need to hunt for one but
I really do not know how satisfied you will be with nit.

The hand cycle is exhilarating to my whole body not to mention muscle
building. I wish you could try one in a store or at home before buying
unless insurance is paying. If you have Medicare and a facility close to go
to you will not regret it.

Where did you get your hand cycle? (if you don't mind my asking)

The abdominal binder is the best prevention to avoid the quad belly. If the

No suggestions from me though on the butt spread. Radical weight loss only
through small food intake and proper food works for me. I do not feel hunger
nor being full. Grazing by eating small amounts through out the day with
one small well rounded healthy meal seems best for me.

My binder is the 11" with definitely supports. Riding up is not one of my
problems. For an exhilarating exercise for quads or anyone, my aerobic and
muscle building exercise is the hand cycle. I love the exhilaration on
light tension, light resistance for 10 minutes.

ANOTHER ANNOYING SURVEY

May I ask what people's weight is?

I am male C5, I am most comfortable around 130 lbs.
