I just had a Testosterone and Dexa test 2 months ago. I had a big bone loss, though I don't know the numbers. I started taking Fosamax, or some bone loss med. It's once a week with a full glass of water and I have to stay seated upright for 30 minutes. I haven't been retested with the Dexa, but I did have low Testosterone and it has been raised pretty good using the gel. I went from 43 to into the mid 100's. Greg
------------ i haven't *quite* had the same issues with bone the Billy and Merril are mentioning ... BUT... I'm wondering if anybody here has had a DEXA Scan recently (or ever) to test bone density. I had it done 3 years ago and had pretty bad bone loss -- as expected. I started Fosamax thinking it would help but couldn't take it for 9-10 months while I was on bedrest after my surgeries last year. Since then I took it for another year and had another scan just a week or two ago. My scores were the same or worse in most cases! I don't know if it's the Fosamax not working -OR- if the time on bed rest un-did any benefits I might have had from the Fosamax in the first place. I'm just curious how anybody here scored. I had areas ranging from -1.7 to -3.5 (none in the + side!). Best wishes! --Tod
