Dear Dan,
Here is a site for AD management. I have met Braddom. He is one of the smartest
PM&R doctors there is when it comes to spinal injuries.
http://www.fiu.edu/~otweb/autonomic.html I think he lives in New Jersey, but
not sure if he still practices. I hope you see something that helps.

BW,
john

Subject: [QUAD-L] Pain and spasms-a.d.

Hi all, I have never had bad spasms in my nearly 12 years post injury, except
when i have a bad uti. This year I was treated with a pick line for a uti but
my doctor took out the pick line before the uti was gone----he said I still had
2 bacteria present but the counts had lowered so he did not want to keep
treating it because an infectious disease guy at the hospital said not to keep
treating or might make a new super-bug. Anyway i have been getting by... but
each day by noontime I must take pain pills to cope with pain and
spasms---------EVERY single day !   I do have a syrinx-short for( syringomyelia
)  and increasing back pain. Can pain cause A.D. and spasms???? I get some A.D.
at times but not severe. I'm hoping to get an MRI before long but had to put it
off because of the uti treatment. anyway just thought i'd vent because this
gets frustrating and docs don't have many answers---I know a few of you have
been having lots of pain and A.D. also,
If any of us find out any helpfull info-- lets post to keep each other
informed, I'll post about this again if I find out anything or something
changes.
