Hi John, Thanks for the link, it is definitely one of the better ones I have seen. I carry around a little card to show to doctors were unfamiliar with AD, but this is way much better. I'm going to print out a couple of copies and pass them on to the agency who supplies my PCAs, and they can use it for training new aides.
I had been so very fortunate with AD, as mine is minor compared to everyone else that I talk to. For instance, last night my cath evidently kinked, and I woke up at 5:00 AM not feeling well, starting to sweat and a few spasms. My aide came in at 6:00 AM and I was very very glad to see her. She straightened the tube and 1400 CC's later I felt quite well. I guess there's some good things to say for intermittent cathing, as my bladder still expands quite well, but that is way too much. I am also fed up with the pain, but just am afraid to take anything for it, it sure seems as though the side effects might be worse than the problem. It really only drags me down when I don't feel well, got stuck by myself for several hours (that's usually a good time) drop my reading mouth stick, the computer has an attitude and won't work, and my cell phone has hung up. JThen when I get bored, I feel every little ache and pain, tingling, sciatic nerve pain, hot and cold etc etc. Again, thanks for the link. Joan C4 1990 in very nice Reno Nevada
