Hi, Shelly-- like Ron said at times there can be a bit of hard stool that needs to be pulled out to get you going---- when I get like that I take a stool softener in the evening around supper time, That usually fixes that for me for a while, then I stop using them until the problem returns . Like Ron was saying our bodies are all a bit different and some things work better for other people. I used to buy ducolace stool softeners but then found out walgreens brand and some others have identical ingredients, so now I buy the walgreens brand and save a lot of money. Others on here use Miralax, I think its called and several other products-- good luck. Dan H.

The only way to go is to (how do I say this and be polite??????) "dig it out"? I am starting college full time in a couple of weeks, I can afford to spend 2 hours on the toilet each night. Honestly at the point of considering not eating to eliminate the problem. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Shelly C-6 C-7 3 years post injury
