Hi Sean I too am looking for a new chair, and I'd just google Permobil C350 reviews 500cs and check what others have liked and disliked about the chair. It seems to get mostly positive reviews. However, it does weigh 375 pounds and has a top speed of 6.5 miles per hour. My omega trac weighs 420-440, and that puts me right at 570 pounds. That means I have to have an extra heavy duty lift, and it is only 30 pounds lower than the maximum that our access buses can pick up. That might be a consideration for you.
Why do you not want to wear a chin controller around your neck? The drawback of course is that it is rather heavy, but for me a very big plus is that it cannot bounce away from me so that I am unable to reach it when I am by myself. I also wear it lower when I am by myself, which enables me to easily reach my mouth stick for reading or computer or getting myself a drink without the chin controller being in my way.
