I had a Permobil for about 6 years. My first non-rear-wheel drive chair. I thought it the most comfortable chair I had been in. But it had lots of problems at first. The electronics kept going out, the tilting, reclining, fuses, etc.
After they rebuilt it from frame up, it was great for years. BUT THEN!!! While reclining the back/recliner-bar broke and I fell backwards until laying flat. I thought all that happened was a bruised hip. But a year later my leg would not lay flat and had huge pains. The injury caused calcium to start growing on my hip into the muscles. Not fun. A year after that the frame broke and was unfixable. I liked it other wise. Just wish it was faster. I love the X850, the front wheels extend out for higher speeds, but still not fast enough. The K450 is a fantastic idea for kids. It lowers them to the floor. At lest they are trying new ideas. Greg _____ too am looking for a new chair, and I'd just google
