I stopped smoking pot permanently last week because I began to actually go out. I am 20 years post injury, C-5, at 57 years old. I no longer go out but I loose all faculties until coming around. Helps if someone makes a fist and pushes hard into my belly.

In this time I have become familiar with low blood pressure. To help I have taken Ephedrine, Modderin and Espresso coffee. The abdominal binder is a major help This past year there has been an increase in episodes of nearly passing out, or whiting out as I describe. Fortunate for me is the tilt on my wheelchair where I have been increasingly spending much of my time. Lately if I begin talking I be come faint. I am worrying that something else is going on but wonder if this is common amongst older quads.
