All the information provided is true and should be considered as guidelines may change yearly. Determine a need Get Medical Doctor's Order for wheelchair evaluation by a Certified Occupational Therapist. The eval goes back to your Medical Doctor and they issue a second Order for such device. You take the Order to a DME/Provider and they fullfill that Order. The DME/Provider may show you various manufacturers that meet or exceed the Ordered requirements. When you receive your new change, the OT reviews each item and makes sure that the Provider's ATS makes any and all adjustments before signing off on that chair. Hope the process works for YOU!
