When I am recording something on my computer and want to watch another channel I use the sling player connected to the cable dvr in the tv room. The sling player has an on screen remote that I can click the button with the mouse. The sling player runs on my netbook so I could mute the volume and use it to control the cable dvr while watching the big screen hdtv.
I guess if you can use voice control on a netbook or notebook to operate the sling player then you can call it a "voice remote tv remote"
