4AP. I thought that dropped off the radar because of funding cuts after
the 3rd clinical were stopped. Oh what a medicine it was. The 1st clinical
was made up mostly of those with MS and many had seizures due to the
strength of the meds. I knew of two compound companies on the West Coast that
were making 4AP for those who had Neuro Drs scrips.

Hi Guys,
Has anyone on the list gotten approval for Ampyra (formally 4AP or
FRAMPRIDINE ) through their insurer?
My insurer (CVS Caremark) has denied my doctors appeal for the drug by
stating it only has FDA approval for MS patients.
I previously trialed with the drug in 2003 with great success. My
spasticity was lowered, I gained movement in my thumbs and strength to my
abdominal
muscles. There was also a lowering of pain in my shoulders and back.
I intend to appeal the denial on a humanitarian basis and it would help if
I could find another insurer who has approved the drug. Thanks.
