Normally I would not be interested in reading things on the screen. For me,
it is just not the same as reading a book the old fashion way. As well as a
FREE book from the local library.

But my life circumstances have changed over the last year and if I want to
read books from my favorite authors as well as more recent releases... it
looks like it will have to be via the Kindle download. I just downloaded
their free application for doing that. By using their "application" ... I
will be able to to read the books on the computer as well as having it work
with Dragon NaturallySpeaking to "page down", etc.

The downside is having to PAY for the many books that I could otherwise get
at the library. And I also just won 3 brand-new hardcovers by great authors
by entering an online contest! Well, either I will be able to read them in
the normal fashion in the future when I can or lend them to a friend or
something.

I'm glad Lucinda mentioned downloading the Kindle application!
