Sorry, I didn't respond to your question (no, it's not because I was under the 
influence).

You can still smoke pot and parent responsibly!  I am the proud father of three 
working, happy, non-drug-abusing, 20-something off-spring in evidence of that.

The secret is to be discrete.  To do that, I would recommend that you: 1) buy 
quality weed, and 2) use a one-hitter.  With a wooden dugout box (for pot 
storage and access) and cigarette-style one-hitter

 you can "medicate" very quickly and with virtually no smoke.  A quick trip to 
the bathroom with the exhaust fan on is all it takes.  The bathroom won't give 
you away, your clothes won't smell, and unless you're in very close quarters, 
your breath won't betray either.  And if that isn't enough, it also avoids 
wastage, which is money in your pocket.
