My former doctor used to prescribe anti fungal cream for this but after he moved away to a new job, my current doctor wanted us to try BOUDREAUX BUTT PASTE.. this stuff works wonders for us----every time we begin to see any redness or rash we clean the area real well then apply that stuff......clears up real soon every time for us. It is sold in various stores such as target and etc. Also can be found online. Good luck, Dan H.
