Well, I use lateral support as well as hip supports. I guess it depends on the type of chair you have. I also have a small amount of foam which sits under my cushion on the back of my chair. It helps position my body so that I'm not being pushed back into the left. It's difficult for me to explain, but the pad helps equalize my left shoulder blade with the right one which is pushed out.
