I think they are both good in different ways. I think facebook is better to connect more in a personal level and this forum is better to share more general information. I'm more of a facebook user so I don't post here often but I do read the emails that I find interesting.
Also through Quads United I connected with a guy who lives in my area. I live in Rosarito Beach Mexico and he lives in Tijuana which is pretty close. We've both been on the Quad-list for a while but have never connected until now on Quads United, so I though that was pretty cool. So I think they are both good and I don't see how one could take away from the other one. I mean Quads United isn't the first group for quads or disabled, there are many more and that hasn't affected the quad-list before. I myself would rather communicate through the quad list, because I have trouble using Dragon on Facebook. I have to copy and paste from a notepad. I have no problems with e-mail and Dragon. I am using Dragon 11.5. Does anyone else have this problem? I do believe groups on Facebook might attract people who do not know about the quad list possibly internationally. I believe we can work together to communicate important things that enrich our lives as quadriplegics. I think it's fun to see other quad list members Facebook pages.. Some of us might post in Facebook and the quad list. What do other people think? I don't want the quad list to ever not exist and thrive, it has been so important to me to have the quad-list to talk to and gain information that really has helped me.
