My friends and I are looking forward to it. With the problems that we have had
on private insurance, we are hoping for something different. I haven't had too
many problems with the medicare so far. I'm hoping that the new health care
coverage, which was created by both parties, not just Obama, will not be as
costly as what I have been experiencing so far. My husband and I have had to
fight private insurance to cover what they are supposed to. We pay premiums, so
they should honor their part of the contract without making us resubmit claims
or threatening to contact the states attorney general or a private lawyer. It
is so frustrating and the insurance company has established a pattern of doing
this kind of thing with my husband's coworkers as well. They want to make money
and do their best to keep from paying out.

I understand companies don't want to cover me because of the SCI, but my
husband is relatively healthy, but because he was on two different medications,
he was denied private insurance coverage. Also, cancer runs in his family and
he was denied citing that as a reason even though he has not had cancer. I have
a niece who was adopted. She was exposed to cocaine in utero. She is now 13,
but when she was adopted, the insurance company didn't want to cover her
because of her history. I think it is a shame that people like my husband and
my niece can be denied medical coverage by no fault of their own.

Pray that Obamacare is overturned.  I'm already seeing new
requirements
when I go into the doctor office that scare me.

Have you ever had your doctor ask, "why are you on medicare"?

As much as I would like to have more accessibility to healthcare, the more I
look at the financial implications of his plan, the more I feel like as a
whole it will be more detrimental to the country than helpful. Forcing
insurance companies to take people with pre-existing conditions, fines for
companies and individuals who don't get coverage. Private insurance premiums
will most certainly be raised for those that have it. How can expanding
coverage to over 30 million new people possibly lower costs?
