Here's my 2 cents on the comparison......
Ditropan and propantheline are created for the same purpose...to tighten the
sphincter muscle to eliminate urine leakage.  I take ditropan/oxybutynin 5mg
2x/day.  But, I view propantheline as a 'pain pill for quads' b/c when we have
pain we sweat and this drug stops it.  Or at least, minimizes it.  I was
introduced to it by another quad around 20 years ago and was amazed at the
difference it made in my daily living.  When it was thought that they stopped
making it, I panicked.  So, since a few years back, I've stock-piled it and
refill every chance I can.  All I know is, that it works for me, my doc
understands, and it helps me from taking a bunch of addictive, mind-altering
pain meds.
Hope this helps...
Lori

Subject: Fwd: [QUAD-L] Propantheline

I have somehow missed the boat on propantheline. This is the first time I have
heard of it. I've been taking ditropan (oxybutynin) for sweating. Does anyone
know how the two compare? Is one better than the other? I need some serious
enlightenment, guys.
