I agree with bobbie. My hands are closed with thumbs out and on my left hand (I'm a lefty) my index finger is straighter so I have a little pinch when I twist my wrist up. With hands closed I can drive, write, ps2 with handles, rc cars, fish, hold stuff, plus lots more. If your thinking about a cure for later don't worry they will make your hands open again. I personally never think about a cure and could careless at this point. Take care all, Donald
