In '99 I had a colonoscopy. 1st day I drink a bottle of "Magnesium Citrate",
and waited for a bowel movement. After that I performed digital stimulation to
empty out the rest. 2nd day I saw my Dr. and he checked me into the hospital
under emergency situation (That's the only way Medicare will pay). There I
drink a gallon of solution to cleanse my bowels. The 3rd day that morning he
performed a colonoscopy and endoscope. Went home after I slept off the sedative
medication received before my procedure.

Meredith,
In my experience when I am getting blocked up I get a liquefied stool without
any hard stool. It's different than diarrhea.

I don't know why you can't take a colonoscopy. It's difficult for
quadriplegics, but it can definitely be done. The protocol here is really
intensive and requires hospitalization.

Just wondering, what tests are taken to see if one is blocked up? I'm not
really able to do a colonoscopy according to the Doc I spoke to.
