In my experience, any sweating in a quad is a sign that something hurts & is in
fact Autonomic Dysreflexia.  AD can be very dangerous, so it's important to
find the source of AD/pain, not just mask the symptoms.  While the two most
common causes of AD are bowel and bladder, many smaller issues can set of AD
... tight shoes, pinched/kinked foley, kidney or bladder stones, a UTI, etc..

I use propantheline bromide to control the sweating, and have used it in one
form or another for nearly 45 years.  It usually does a fantastic job.  If,
however, the pain is severe enough, it can "break through" the propantheline
(i.e. It did not work when I was in labor for either of my kids.  I am not sure
if it addresses the spike in blood pressure that accompanies AD.  It will dry
your mouth, but the upside to that is that you'll be drinking plenty!

Good luck Carla.  This is one of the joys of quaddom that most of us deal with.

Subject: [QUAD-L] please help!

i'm a c5 quad female, 33yrs old, 11years post injury and about a yr ago i
started sweating profusely 90% of the day, doesn't matter the temp of air,
sometimes i feel cold while sweating, i have goose flesh and sweat like i'm
running in the desert (i wish, lol) i spent a month in hospital oly to be told i
was "full of shit" pardon my french ...i'd have to change my bowel routine from
3x a week to daily and clean out....well, it seemed to me i continued to sweat
for quite some time and it just mostly subsided but almost exactly 1yr later
it's happening again, sweat is rolling down my neck right now....the dr's are
not taking me seriously....i am no longer "full of shit"...what else can it be?
it's not dysreflexia......in-dwelling foley cath works fine....any ideas?
anyone ever hear of propantheline bromide?
