for my sweatings has been due to discomfit of underwear &/or pants creeping. Or potential syrinx, when on left side more. Patricia L. Brown-Tulee [email protected]

Carla, it is almost certainly dysreflexia. I think about every member of this list including myself has experienced those miserable sweats. The frustrating thing is it can have many different causes, only two of which are bladder and bowel. Absolutely anything that could generate pain can cause it. The two drugs that best calm the sweat glands are ditropan and propantheline. Most of us take one or the other, and usually they are pretty effective. Do you take either of those? If not, talk to the ol' doc. Good luck and God bless.
