for my sweatings has been due to discomfit of underwear  &/or pants creeping. 
Or potential syrinx, when on left side more.

Carla, it is almost certainly dysreflexia. I think about every member of this 
list including myself has experienced those miserable sweats. The frustrating 
thing is it can have many different causes, only two of which are bladder and 
bowel. Absolutely anything that could generate pain can cause it. The two drugs 
that best calm the sweat glands are ditropan and propantheline. Most of us take 
one or the other, and usually they are pretty effective. Do you take either of
