VPG was another government debacle. they received $50 MILLION from the Dept. of 
Energy to try to build an accessible mass transit/paratransit vehicle to 
eventually run on CNG. They really tried to get this thing out there without 
doing much market exploration. Their premise was it was going to be better than 
a 'modified' minivan because it was designed and built from the ground up. They 
gave a bunch away to places like the Rehab Institute of Chicago, etc. It really 
was a junkbox. One air bag, no passenger seat, road like a lumber wagon, 
heat/AC 
was awful and built like garbage. The President of VGM is now working for a Bus 
Co. and these guys will never be back and somebody's pockets are much fuller as 
a result. For the money that was given to VGM, all of us could have new vans 
and 
live in new accessible homes!!
