Don, >From the time of my discharge in '90 to '91 I took 20mg of Liorsal 4x day and was a zombie. During that period I had gotten some movement back in my right foot (toes) and the muscle relaxers were completely taking that away. As much as I probably needed them, over the next year/two I was getting movement back in my right leg and was limiting myself to one dose at night before bed. Over the years I continued to gain movement and strength, and eventually just stopped the evening dosage. I spent a few years after college using the CFES on my legs both at an outside rehab and at my own facility that no longer exists. I was riding the CFES bike multiple miles per week which was helping to increase my circulation and reduce atrophy, and while I think it helped my spasticity I can't say for certain. I am assuming that the incompleteness of my injury is also why I don't suffer as much because I have seen other quads around my level that really suffer. There are times when I am ill that they get bad, and my doctor prescribed me Baclofen after I complained to her once but they are sitting in my cabinet unopened. Before I had my son, which was almost 10 years ago, I found that 420 would kill my spasms without taking away my limited leg movement (which i need to drive, transfer, just about everything), and it increased my appetite (I am 6'1 140lbs). Too bad it is not legal here in Georgia.
