Sure it's possible to go down in size without having leakage, but I doubt
that is your problem. It is very possible to catheter is too hard, the
wrong type, or a multitude of other issues. I rather doubt it's because it
is too large in diameter.

I had terrible A/D issues when I tried to use a silicone catheter. I ended
up having to go to a latex catheter and cannot use silicone hardly at all.
Sure, the latex catheter can be coated with a silicone material, but that
dissolves fairly quickly and doesn't seem to cause me problems. I had a
suprapubic for a little over 16 years and most of my problem was because
the catheter wasn't draining properly due to the diameter not being large
enough.

See if there is anyway you can try a different type of catheter, i.e.
latex, silicone or even one coated with that microbe. I tried to use one
coated with that micro and I had A.D. so bad that I had to change it almost
immediately.

As for why I no longer have an SP, it's because of atrophy which happens in
so few people that I wouldn't worry about that. You would probably know if
that was problem.

Take care,
Quadius
