Hugs can be a bit awkward, most people are too lazy to lean down far enough to
hug you properly. I have a few friends that give me really good hugs so it is
possible, that's for sure. I know what you mean about the hand shake Dan, some
times I feel like saying something, but what can we say? Sorry, I can't grip?
Haha. The fist bump is a good idea!

The hugs I get were like you described at the top of your post, many try to
shake my hand but get a funny look on their face when I stick my closed fist
hand out, lol....so i tell some to just bump fists or give me a knuckle punch
type handshake. Dan H**

 I was
wondering how are you guys received and get hugs. Most of the time, people
that are close to me, well lean down their upper body, put their arms around my
shoulders and press their cheek to my cheek. I never feel like I've really
gotten a hug. And I watch them hug somebody else who is standing and they get a
real hug, where the more of the upper body is touching.

My brother, Gary, always, ALWAYS gave me my favorite kind of hugs. He will
approach me from the front, spread his legs apart so he is straddling over my
thighs, then he presses his upper body against my upper body and gives me a
real wonderful hug.
