3/32 ss bare is the standard used by the conversion industry.   Chrysler 
may have used the vinyl coating.  the bare material my be found at  most 
hardware stores or specialty companies that vendor to the OEMs.  Also,  be 
aware 
of the "idler" which is spring loaded to maintain tension and  positioning 
on the cable.

I can  tell you this.  The cable is 3/32 stainless steel Air Craft  
Quality.  Some companies may use a vinyl coated cable, but the best is  bare 
cable. 
 You have to know the configuration of how the cable winds  around the 
motor, as well as the tension device on the system. There are some  accessories 
that may include:  couplers, yokes, stops and cable cutting  device and 
crimp.    After that.... the rest is  easy.
