3/32 ss bare is the standard used by the conversion industry. Chrysler may have used the vinyl coating. the bare material my be found at most hardware stores or specialty companies that vendor to the OEMs. Also, be aware of the "idler" which is spring loaded to maintain tension and positioning on the cable. mine is coated and part of coating is gone……..on the upside I found a guy who fixed it but I still need to get the new cable……..at least it’s working for now thank you so much nicki From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, October 13, 2014 3:08 PM To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] cable for door I can tell you this. The cable is 3/32 stainless steel Air Craft Quality. Some companies may use a vinyl coated cable, but the best is bare cable. You have to know the configuration of how the cable winds around the motor, as well as the tension device on the system. There are some accessories that may include: couplers, yokes, stops and cable cutting device and crimp. After that.... the rest is easy. Best Wishes In a message dated 10/13/2014 12:25:44 P.M.
