Sounds like he has one similar to the one I have. I don't change my every
third day though. I use a specially fit abdominal binder when I am up in
the chair and this helps me keep my waffer for much longer.
I just had my surgery about 2 1/2 years ago and it is definitely not
obsolete. As far as I know there is no need to cut Any sphincter.
