I agree with wheelchair about a major schism between paraplegics and quadriplegics.
Paraplegics can and should pursue independent living. Quadriplegics will always be dependent, and hopefully we can pursue dependence with dignity. A very good theory, but just a theory. If such a schism exists, its between Paras and Quads. Or those who are mobile and those not mobile.
