I  agree with wheelchair about a major schism between paraplegics and  
quadriplegics. 
Paraplegics  can and should pursue independent living. Quadriplegics will 
always be  dependent, and hopefully we can pursue dependence with dignity.

Its  a theory.  A very good theory, but just a theory.   If such a  schism 
exists, its between Paras and Quads. Or those who are mobile and  those not 
mobile.  Or perhaps, those who can communicate and those who  can not 
communicate.  Its all carried under the same  umbrella.
