I've been using abdominal binders for 20 years now. They aren't that
difficult to put on it you know how to do it or have the help. Because if
you're doing it by yourself it is difficult.

As for me, it keeps my posture straight which helps me prevent the shoulder
injuries whenever I'm not in proper position. It also aids in my breathing,
blood pressure, and appearance. I don't use it for the bowels anymore. I
got more out of abdominal massage therapy when I was doing my bowel
regimen. Now I have a colostomy, so that doesn't apply.

I used an abdominal binder with a suprapubic for about 17 years and had no
difficulty with it whatsoever. I have boys worn my abdominal binder about
an inch or two above where the suprapubic goes in. I did have problems with
my suprapubic, but that was because of bladder atrophy.

My abdominal binder woes are pretty complicated now. I have an urostomy and
a colostomy, which requires a special type of abdominal binder. Whenever I
wear the top binder without the lower one to support my belly protrudes a
little too much down there and causes difficulty with the way first.

I have ordered a new abdominal binder, but right now I'm using one which
was designed for a urostomy and I cut a hole in the other side. It works,
but it's not the greatest.

I do have a slight quad gut, but if I take the abdominal binders off it's
much more pronounced in my spine curves a lot more. That's why it's
important to where the abdominal binders for many people. You can
definitely tell the difference between someone who wears them all the time
and people who do not. At least that's my opinion. I'm sure there are some
people who are able to maintain posture without abdominal binders.

Hopefully that helps a little.

sorry about the errors, I'm in a hurry and I'm bouncing around a little bit
in my chair. Therefore my desk microphone is it necessarily picking up my
voice the way it should be. It's my fault, but I need to exercise while I'm
dictating. :-)
