Is this Wally? About 6.5 inches. It didn't help my current
situation either.

Hello,
My name is Eric Olson. I am from Milwaukee. I was a
member of the
Quad-list forever until my daughter was born about 9 years
ago. I just
didn't have time after she was born. I am a C3 Ventilator
dependent
spinal cord injury. This July 1st will be 30 years post
injury for me.
Anyway from the onset of my injury, I suffered from awful
sensations of
cold in my arms. My arms felt like they were soaking in
ice water. I
actually met someone else on the Quad-list with similar
sensations. I
think his name was Greg and he eventually moved to Arizona
where the
weather would be beneficial. I don't have that option.
For most of the
30 years, I have been injured, I have been taking a
medication called
Imipramine that helped take the edge off of the horrible
cold
sensations. I recently had my second pseudo bowel
obstruction (ileus)
and had my second abdominal surgery. The doctors stopped
the
Imipramine, because of concerns that it contributed to
decreasing bowel
peristalsis.
So now, I have to find a different medication for my cold
sensations. I
am looking for input from anybody that uses medications
for any spinal
cord associated pain. I have heard of people using
medications like
Lyrica or Neurontin. Anyone else out there get intense
sensations of
cold in their arms? I am desperate for any kind of
relief.
Thanks,
Eric
