I eat activia yogurt.  When I first started taking it, it seemed to help, but my body seemed to just get used to it, so now just eat it because I like yogurt.

I have wondered often about probiotics. Do they really work? Those of you who take them -- can you tell a difference? Are they worth the cost? Btw, my beloved has heart surgery scheduled for January. Prayers required. A wundermous Christmas to my all my quad peeps. God bless.

This just goes to show how different we all are, and not just injury level.  I do program every morning about 6:30 AM, and it usually takes 10 to 20 minutes.  Every evening I take Metamucil, Benefiber and Align pro biotic.  I've been on this regime for five years after consulting with a gastroenterologist and it definitely works for me.  He was absolutely awesome and worked with me very closely until I got regulated quite well.  You might want to see a gastroenterologist and get some ideas from him or her.  Good luck, my life is so much easier than it was for the 20 years before.  Joan
