Can I ask for a Thunder from Down Under then? I have an Echo and yes it can do
blinds if you have electric blind opener, and all sorts of things with Insteon,
TP-link and other things, some of them just plain fun.

Here are a couple of ideas for a drinking tube and other accessibility ideas.

I have this, bought it several years ago when it didn’t cost so much.

Or you could make it yourself for half the price.

I have a hospital table with a hole drilled the size of my drink cup and place
it by the side of my bed and place the tube over my bed so that I can drink
whenever I want. We’ve replaced the cup a couple of times. I also have this
out during the day so that I can drive up and get a drink whenever. Have a
great day every one, Joan

c2 quad.

I suggest a really hot woman who will do anything you ask.. If that can't be
managed…

I've heard on here that Amazon Echo can run Insteon products which can help you
with turning on/off by voice. Voice-activated software,, like Dragon
NaturallySpeaking – it's gone to some other name again – can help you
actually operate the computer by voice. The window and blinds might have to
be made electronic,, so I'm not sure the technical side of that part,, but if
they were and it simply took an infrared or radio signal, whichever it is that
Amazon uses, it would help.. I have a service dog. He can be trained to open
Blinds, an windows if it was all setup right.

If by "in upright position"you mean your wheelchair, I purchased a kitchen
table – there's only two of us – from a store that provides
furniture/equipment to restaurants,, and found a table at the right height for
sitting a large cup with a long straw (easily found online) aand driving under
part of the table until I could reach the straw.

I get really thirsty sometimes at night and thus far have been struggling
between calling my family for a drink or my window open/fan up. I’ve found a
few home automation projects in the past buf I figure my quad list
buddies/family would know best. So ir was
1> Able to drink something cold on my own while in upright position.
2> Ability to control my bed/window/blinds with sip’n’puff, my PC or my right
arm to the wrist.
